Tourism in Chad and No Smoking On Ryanair…Ever

The CEO of SWISS is stepping down amid a probe of a 2001 crash of one of the airlines AVRO RJ100s. A criminal investigation has now been opened into the crash, which occurred because of pilot error. A report on the accident cites mistakes by SWISS management, specifically, “Over a long period of time, the responsible persons of the airline did not make correct assessments of the commander’s flying performance.”

In lighter news, Ryanair has banned eight passengers for life because they were caught smoking on Ryanair flights. That may not be such a bad thing.

And finally…quick—guess which ten countries will have the greatest increase in tourism over the next ten years. In a trillion years you wouldn’t guess. According to the World Travel & Tourism Council, the greatest increase in tourism will occur in China, India, Montenegro, Vietnam, Angola, Laos, Chad, Guadeloupe, Fiji and Uganda. Yes, Chad. Book your flight now before N’jamena gets too crowded (not to pat myself on the back, but I actually spelled N’jamena correctly before I looked it up. I am a loser).
