Continental: I’m Sorry, Cleveland
Nov 8th, 2004 | ByContinental Airlines has decided that it has screwed its Cleveland passengers long enough. After years of incredibly overpriced tickets to Boston and New York, it is instituting a simplified and less expensive fare structure to those 2 cities from Cleveland. I used to live in Cleveland while I was working on a consulting project in New York. $1100 round trip each week. Now, walk up fares are now $249, while first class walk-up fares are now $299. I’m sure this move has nothing to do with AirTran’s well-priced flights from Akron to NYC and Boston, and everything to do with Continental just being nice.
