TSA Tests Go At Your Own Pace Security Lines

Finally, a great idea from the TSA: They agency is testing a go-at-your-own-pace security line at Salt Lake City’s airport (and will soon roll it out in Denver as well). Basically, you self-select into 1 of 3 lanes, either beginner (or traveling with family), intermediate or expert. Essentially, frequent business travelers would go into the “expert” lane, where everyone else would already have their laptops out and shoes off, theoretically making everything go faster. I’m not sure who would choose the middle lane. But it’s a great way to speed up security lanes (except for that middle lane, as I’m not sure who’s going in there…)

(Thanks to reader Tom for the heads up…)
