Save 50% Nearly All the Time at Most Radisson Hotels with Friends and Family Rate

I’ve seen lots written about the Intercontinental Hotels Friends and Family Rate (see here), but for whatever reason the Radisson Friends and Family Rate has flown a bit more under the radar (though this thread at FT has more info).

In short, here’s the deal:

Just use this link to book your next Radisson stay around the world (also works at Park Plaza, Park Inn and Country Inn & Suite hotels) or enter Promo Code CARLSONF at their regular website. You’ll note that they say you will be asked at check-in for the name of the friend at Carlson who gave you this rate. Some have reported being asked for the name at checkin, but it’s pretty rare. Even if you DO get asked (which you won’t) remember that TGI Fridays is part of the Carlson group. It’s not as if the clerk at the Radisson Blu Muscat Oman is going to call up the TGI Fridays in Overland Park, Kansas, and ask if John Boothe works there, y’know what I’m saying? Or fine, just look at this list of Carlson employees and pick one.

The website says you’ll save at least 25% off lowest rates, but on a bunch I’ve checked it often looks more like 50%.

Yes, yes you can pooh-pooh Radisson hotels in the US, but globally they’re a well-respected brand. They’re rolling out more of the Radisson Blu line of hotels (with the first coming to Chicago), and they’re perfectly nice for a business traveler.

I’ve looked at the Rate for an upcoming trip and prices at both hotels I checked were just about half the regular rate.

Finally, the site says the deal ends in December, but I see rates available into next year.

  1. Do you know if these rates are eligible for points accrual or status?
