Oneworld Changes Their Lounge Policy for Premium Class Flyers

Oneworld has made a small change in their lounge policy for travelers flying in business or first class.

In short, if you have Ruby Status on Oneworld (or no status at all) and you are flying Business or First class, you are now only entitled to lounge access for the airline that you are traveling on. Previously, you could enter any Oneworld carrier’s lounge.

Emerald and Sapphire members can still use any Oneworld carrier’s lounge.

Not a huge deal, but if you are flying in Business class on a Oneworld carrier from a city where they have only a minor presence, if you have no status you may not be able to enter a lounge prior to that flight. That’s nonsense, but there ya go.

(Thanks, Milepoint)
